Choosing the Song for the First Dance

Here at – Newfoundland Wedding DJs, we know the importance of selecting the right music for your wedding day and understand that most couples find it difficult to choose their first dance song as husband and wife.

Music sets the tone for your wedding and selecting that special song for your first song becomes an extension of you as a couple.  It should invoke memories and make you smile.

Some couples select the song that was playing the first time they met while others use the one playing when they were engaged.  If the bride and groom are having a themed wedding, the first song may be something to match the theme.

Some of the more popular wedding songs played by have been Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” and Joe Cocker’s “You Are So Beautiful”.  We’ve also played some rather untraditional mixes such as “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” by Dwight Yoakam.

Whatever you decide, make it personal.  This is your day and regardless of the music that you choose, – Newfoundland’s Wedding DJ Service will ensure it leaves an impression on your guests.
