The cancellation policy that many professional DJs in the Corner Brook area and across Newfoundland will often vary depending on circumstances and notice given for cancellation. This will also vary from DJ to DJ.
When you are considering booking a professional DJ for your wedding, anniversary party or special event, people are often led to believe they are obligated to pay the full rate when something comes up forcing an event cancellation. However, this is not necessarily the case.
Ensure that when you book your DJ you ask their policy around paying a deposit and their policy for charging cancellation fees. If there is a deposit required and there is no clear policy around cancellation fee, you may be entitled to a full refund of your deposit.
Here at TheDJs.ca, we do not require a deposit fee and we typically do not charge a cancellation fee if you cancel your event within 2-weeks of your booking. We are one of the few professional DJ services within Corner Brook and Newfoundland that we know of that has such a policy. We have even gone as far as to waive any cancellation fee when an event has been cancelled just 24 hours before!
